Peter Daszak vs. Jeffrey Silverman: “The Pot Calling the Kettle Black!”
by Henry Kamens on 22 Aug 2025 0 Comment

The U.S. has finally barred Dr. Peter Daszak and EcoHealth Alliance over reckless gain-of-function research, but whistleblower Jeffrey Silverman warns this is just the tip of a much deeper and more dangerous bioweapons iceberg.

After years of denial, deflection, and downright gaslighting, the U.S. government has finally decided to throw Dr. Peter Daszak, and his NGO EcoHealth Alliance, under the proverbial (and highly infectious) bus.

In a move that many are calling too little, too late, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) officially debarred both Daszak and his organization for five years over their involvement in reckless gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology - the same lab suspected of unleashing COVID-19 onto the world - stopping all funding from HHS.

Cue Senator John Kennedy (R-La.), who now gets to bask in the political equivalent of “I told you so” as he praises the decision that should have been made well back when the first two infected humans just so happened to be employees at the Wuhan lab.

But here’s where it gets interesting: While Washington is only just now catching up, one name that’s been sounding the alarm for more than a decade is Jeffrey Silverman, an American investigative journalist with a background in biological and military science, based in Georgia (the country, not the state).

Silverman has long warned about the dangerous dual-use nature of U.S.-funded “public health” projects overseas - especially those operating under a veil of humanitarian aid while potentially weaponizing pathogens, in violation of international agreements to ban bio-weapons research.

And wouldn’t you know it? Silverman specifically had pointed fingers at Daszak for involvement in similar research at the U.S.-funded Lugar Lab in Tbilisi, Georgia, long before it became common knowledge among intelligence agencies, and, more to the point, he has been vilified by the US and EU for doing so.

For the fact-checkers, both NED and the Atlantic Council Funded

·        The bat-human disease connection? – Check!

·        Zoonotic experiments? – Check!

·        S. taxpayer dollars funnelled through NGO smokescreens? Double-check!

So while Daszak played pandemic middleman with Chinese labs, under the warm glow of NIH funding, Silverman was already deep in the high weeds, uncovering how biological research was being repurposed and outsourced, all while the media and government tried to paint those warning of such activities as conspiracy theorists.

Now, of course, Washington has decided to finally poke around and ask questions like, “What exactly was EcoHealth doing with all that cash?” Millions of dollars are now unaccounted for - siphoned, squandered, or simply disappeared into the fog of scientific righteousness.

Still, the official response?

A five-year funding timeout. A bureaucratic slap on the wrist. Meanwhile, Daszak retreats into quiet obscurity, presumably somewhere far from any BSL-4 facilities. And yet, with whispers of new respiratory outbreaks - some COVID-related, some conveniently mysterious - emerging in various corners of the world, perhaps it’s time to revisit what people like Silverman have been warning about all along: This wasn’t an accident, and it sure as hell wasn’t just about “public health.”

Key takeaways:

On Jan. 17, 2025, HHS announced that it would be defunding and debarring EcoHealth Alliance Inc. and Dr. Daszak for at least five years due to their role in facilitating irresponsible gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

Dr. Daszak and EcoHealth Alliance violated the terms of their gain-of-function grant to conduct experiments that modified novel bat coronaviruses to make them 10,000 times more infectious in mice.

The FBI, CIA, Department of Energy, and other government agencies around the world have concluded, including German intelligence, that the COVID-19 pandemic likely originated in the lab in Wuhan.

Let’s be clear: Daszak wasn’t just collecting bat poop and writing grant proposals - he was handpicked by the World Health Organization as the “sole U.S. representative” on the international team tasked with investigating the origins of COVID-19.

Fox and Chicken House Scenario

And let’s not forget - on February 9, 2020, Daszak joined Anthony Fauci and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on “Newt’s World” podcast to talk about COVID-19’s potential to become a global pandemic. He talked about “what could happen” - when some now suspect he already knew exactly what “would” happen. Foresight looks a lot like insider knowledge in retrospect.

Jeffrey Silverman, has spent years exposing how alleged civilian research facilities, like the U.S.-funded Lugar Lab in Tbilisi, Georgia, are potentially being used for military applications.

The funding trail isn’t hard to follow: the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the NIH, and academic institutions such as Evergreen State University all appear in project documentation that Mr. Silverman obtained from concerned whistleblowing experts inside the system.

In some cases, young Georgian and Ukrainian conscripts - barely old enough to shave - were subjected to experimental blood testing at military hospitals, needless to say, without informed consent.

One such site?

Gori, Georgia - the birthplace of Joseph Stalin, no less, and where Silverman has been teaching a new generation of Georgians at a school of science - how ironic. The military research targeted highly contagious and militarily relevant diseases, including anthrax and other pathogens known for their potential to be engineered into antibiotic-resistant strains. Many fear this work went far beyond the boundaries of medical science and strayed deep into offensive biowarfare. Sources like (New Eastern Outlook), Veterans Today, IntelDrop, and even RT have all highlighted this troubling trend.

They argue, alongside Silverman’s claims: how the U.S. and Ukrainian governments may have engaged in collusive projects with far-reaching implications. The death of Russian General Kirillov, when placed in this context, starts to look less like coincidence and more like cause and effect - like a targeted hit.

And what of the hundreds - possibly thousands - of Georgian and Ukrainian soldiers whose blood samples were collected under the guise of “public health research”? Future Congressional inquiries must ask the obvious questions:

·        Were proper protocols followed?

·        Was informed consent obtained?

·        And was the stated objective - peaceful civilian research - just a clever cover for something much more sinister?

The time for platitudes is over. If these programs are truly peaceful, let the documents speak. If not, then it’s time Washington stopped pretending it’s playing Florence Nightingale with a BSL-4 lab and admitted it’s been quietly weaponizing nature in breach of its international obligations.

The UGLY public faces of questionable pandemic-era science!

Peter Daszak may be the face of questionable pandemic science, but Jeffrey Silverman has long been its loudest whistleblower - at great personal cost. Silverman exposed how U.S. and international programs, masked as public health, veered into biowarfare territory. For speaking out - particularly on RT and in Georgian and Russian media - he’s been beaten, blacklisted, and sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury as a so-called agent of “Russian disinformation.”

His real offense?

Asking the wrong questions about the right labs - especially those funded by the Pentagon - and exposing how humanitarian aid sometimes covers for covert operations, and the development of internationally banned bio-weapons.

Silverman’s danger to the establishment isn’t just what he says - it’s what he independently uncovered. Long before Russian military officials like General Kirillov cited leaked documents at international briefings, Silverman had already published detailed exposés based on internal U.S. documents and whistleblower testimonies. It wasn’t Russian military intelligence that led the charge - it was Silverman’s early reporting that cracked the door open, and Russia simply pushed it wider.

This story isn’t over.

What began as a scientific dispute has morphed into a geopolitical reckoning. And while narratives change, Silverman’s allegiance remains to one thing: the ugly and uncomfortable truth. Perhaps note that someone should sanction Peter Daszak for following in Joseph Mengele’s footsteps - his role model instead of investigative journalists like Jeffrey Silverman.

Joseph Mengele was a German physician at the Nazi run Auschwitz Death Camp, infamous for conducting inhumane medical experiments on prisoners. Especially noted was his pseudo-science twin studies, that resulted in most dying, during the Holocaust. His actions are widely recognized as atrocities and war crimes, as should be for those who may be responsible for COVID and other bioweapons and are playing G-D with gain-of function research.

Mengele’s name is now synonymous with unethical, cruel, and pseudoscientific experimentation on humans.
